No, however, we recommend checking with your primary care provider (doctor/midwife) before starting any new exercise.
To be safe, we always recommend buying a good non-slip yoga mat. This is different than some of the low-quality “activty” mats that you will find at a big box/discount store. If your mat is not suitable for yoga, you will end up working harder trying not to slip or fall. This might make poses more difficult and not target the intended muscles in each pose.
Not sure what the difference is? Come in and give our rental mats a try. We are sure you will feel the difference.
Insurance plans sometimes cover yoga services under a health/fitness spending account. Please inquire with your insurance provider.
A receipt will be emailed to you which can be used for submission to your insurance company. We do NOT provide direct billing for yoga studio services.
